A week after Magdalen was born was Easter weekend and fast Sunday because of General Conference in April. Before she was born, we had decided that if she was here and healthy by that week, we would bless her. It made a lot of sense to do it asap because both my sister and Scott's sister-in-law are pregnant and due in the next two months. (Hopefully they don't have their baby blessings on the same day. lol)
We invited both sides of the family and a few friends but most of the friends had Easter family plans (as most people do) and had so many people that we wouldn't have been able to have them all at our house, so we booked the church after the meetings on Sunday and had a dinner there.
Scott blessed Magdalen and it was a beautiful blessing AND she didn't cry during it! Before she was born, I asked Scott's grandmother to make us a blessing dress and it was perfect!! I don't have the close up pictures of her yet as they are on grandma's camera but I will add them shortly.
